2025 Mission news and updates

January 2025:

We are thankful LWLC was able to help the people of North Carolina affected by the flooding caused by hurricane Helene.  Living Word donated $4,500 worth of kerosene heaters, kerosene oil, special tents designed to use those heaters, paper towels, and electrical cords.  We are thankful for the opportunity to help, an pray their living conditions continue to improve.  

February 2025:

We got a great response from the congregation for our annual baby item/ diaper drive.  Thank you to all who contributed.  We were able to bless our mission partner pregnancy center with 60 large boxes of baby items. We pray these will be a blessing to their clients.

Costa Rica Mission

LWLC has recently blessed our partner church in Costa Rica with $4,500 that they are using to buy food for their impoverished neighbors.  Each time they deliver food they have a chance to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.  Pray that the Lord will work powerfully through their evangelistic efforts.  

March 2025:

We sent George and Marilyn Sanders on a mission trip to Belton, Texas to deliver the four beautiful benches our Craftsmen for Christ built last year.  These benches are now a blessing to our mission partner, Hilltop Recovery Ministry.  Their mission is to minister to women who have survived abuse, addiction, and homelessness, giving them hope, peace, and freedom in Jesus.  

March 2025:

We are very thankful we could purchase a brand new 5 by 8 enclosed cargo trailer.  This trailer will be very useful for mission trips, delivering baby items to our partner pregnancy center, delivering our Thanksgiving food donations and Christmas angel tree gifts, and more.  We praise God for another very practical tool for ministry and mission.
